Tradition in Motion: Singapore’s Lion Dance Heritage

In line with the Lunar New Year festivities, the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre presented Tradition in Motion: Singapore’s Lion Dance Heritage, a specially curated museum exhibition celebrating the vibrancy of this cherished cultural art form. Designed and built as a cohesive spatial narrative, the museum exhibition unfolded across three thematic zones, guiding visitors through the evolution of the nation’s lion dance heritage, from the traditional foundations to its contemporary expressions.

Featuring over 50 artefacts, photographs, posters, and figurines, the exhibition design offered a comprehensive insight into the history, cultural significance, and enduring legacy of lion dance within the local community. Enriched through a dynamic interplay of multimedia elements, including interactive touchpoints, visual graphics, and contextual interpretive content, the experience fostered moments of discovery and engagement throughout.
