Victorinox

Well-known for its rich heritage and uncompromising dedication to quality, Swiss-founded, global company Victorinox has opened its first flagship retail showroom in Singapore. In pursuit of upholding the intrinsic values of the long-established brand, the team at Dezign Format has been appointed to fabricate the store interior fit-out along with custom-built cabinets and product display units.

Housed in a total of 90sqm space, the new shopping experience highlighted the brand’s full selection of products, ranging from the well-known Swiss Army Knives, kitchen households, and watches to travel gear and perfumes. Developed in line with the visual merchandising display guidelines across the world, the global design concept featured the use of natural materials and refined details that both reflected Victorinox’s effort in product sustainability.

Finished in oiled end grain oak, the showcase cabinets were custom built to feature a product display area finished in crystal tempered glass and felt top along with a fitted lock mechanism and adjustable concealed shelvings. Featuring geometric laser perforations on the side, the oak panels created contemporary accents in the overall retail interior design space.

The product showcase areas incorporated the use of steel frames and rods finished with a matte powder coating. Concealed within the shelves, metal structures were used to strengthen the fixtures and provide supplementary stability support. Coated in matte green, the engraving table featured metal cladding with veneer laminate countertop and steel trim all around to complement the interior of the store.

“The crafted details of the commercial interior fit-out of Victorinox's flagship store reflected both the brand's image and values while offering its customers a contemporary shopping experience.”

“The visual merchandising displays included a magnetic panel with a floating panel display covered with thick crystal glass and oak wood frames.”
