DEZIGN FORMAT WINS THE INSTALLATION OF THE YEAR
AWARD AT THE SINGAPORE MICE AWARDS (SMA) 2025
The team at Dezign Format has been awarded the Best Installation of the Year
for our work on The Legend of the Dragon Gate at Marina Bay Sands.
Dezign Format’s Business Development Director, Jonathan Chong (middle), received the SMA trophy on behalf of the company during the 3rd edition of the awards ceremony.
Singapore (29 July 2025) – Dezign Format is honoured to be presented the Installation of the Year award for the Marina Bay Sands: Lunar New Year Décor ‘The Legend of the Dragon Gate’ at SMA 2025.
Held on the evening of 24 July 2025 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, the 3rd edition of SMA, organised by the Singapore Association of Convention & Exhibition Organisers & Suppliers (SACEOS), celebrates the excellence and recognises the achievements of key stakeholders across the MICE industry. The award spotlights organisations and individuals who exemplify innovation, creativity, and impact in shaping the growth and development of the industry.
A highlight of the 2024 Lunar New Year festivities, The Legend of the Dragon Gate installation transformed the Grand Colonnade of Marina Bay Sands into a breathtaking visual narrative. As one of our most ambitious endeavours to date, the project challenged us to innovate at every turn, pushing our creative and technical boundaries to deliver a truly immersive festive experience.
This accolade from SACEOS serves as a testament to the creativity, craftsmanship, and commitment of the team in bringing the vision of this project to life, and we are incredibly humbled to have our work recognised by SMA. The Legend of the Dragon Gate installation on display at Marina Bay Sands, Grand Colonnade, over the 2024 Lunar New Year festive period.
From swimming up the water streams to conquering the skies, majestic creatures from the ancient tale ‘The Legend of the Dragon Gate’ soared in the heart of the Marina Bay Sands’ Grand Colonnade. The display featured a pair of 40-metre-long aquamarine and teal dragons alongside a 15-metre-tall Dragon’s Gate installation, among other intricate elements that completed the showcase.
