A key experiential event of Singapore Design Week 2024, Re-Route Festival returned for its second edition, bringing visitors on a creative exploration of adaptability between spaces and objects within the Orchard Road district. Themed ‘Be Here Now’, Re-Route: Orchard comprised a diverse showcase of unique installations and exhibition spaces, highlighting the dynamic interplay between design, the community, and the surrounding environment.
Sited across multiple indoor and outdoor locations within the district, custom-built structures were fabricated in an array of bold and vivid hues, transforming the spaces into vibrant hubs of creativity. One of the key experiential activations, the Nostalgic Play at Fast East Plaza, was built to echo the colourful aesthetics of the 80s and 90s, featuring a range of interactive structures to encourage exploratory play.
