Monsters Of The Sea

Featuring 14 massive, life-sized prehistoric sea monsters and 2 present-day giants, Monsters of the Sea, Asia-Pacific’s largest animatronics showcase, arrived in Singapore. Spanning over 2,000 sqm at the Science Centre Singapore, the exhibition design recreated the creatures’ natural habitats with handmade props of deep-water vegetation, rocks, and ocean backdrops.

Scope

  • Spatial Design
  • Fabrication
  • Installation and Dismantling
  • Project Management

As visitors explored the exhibition setup, movable prehistoric sea monsters imitated the creatures’ natural movements and behaviour, bringing them to life before their eyes. This was further enhanced by dark blue lighting, glow-in-the-dark jellyfish in a variety of colours, and wavy light effects mimicking ocean currents, creating a fully immersive underwater experience.

“Immersive experience and exhibition design brought visitors into the depths of another world through life-like animatronics and a fully simulated environment.”
