DinoQuest

Jointly developed by DF Experiences, Science Centre Singapore, Digimagic Communications, and world-renowned palaeontologist Professor Patricia Vickers-Rich, DinoQuest was an immersive travelling exhibition that brought to life the rich prehistoric world of dinosaurs from Victoria, Australia. First unveiled at Science Centre Singapore, the multi-sensory edutainment experience featured seven distinct thematic zones, guiding visitors through an interactive mission that inspired discovery, learning, and imagination.

Spanning over 1,600 square metres, the museum exhibition was curated to include multiple touchpoints, blending hands-on activities, physical exhibits and digital elements to deliver an engaging, informative, and experiential showcase. Through the integration of creative storytelling, validated research data, and multimedia technology, the highly detailed exhibition design offered a scientifically accurate and visually compelling experience for all.

“Thoughtfully curated to evoke an emotive, cinematic experience, the museum exhibition offered an educational journey into the Cretaceous period, where Australian polar dinosaurs once roamed.”

The design and build of the Location-Based Entertainment (LBE) experience featured a diverse range of experiential media, including 3D holographic mapping, animatronics, 4D effects, as well as AR and VR mediums, to present a highly realistic showcase. To further enhance visitors’ engagement with the subject matter, each individual received a personalised RFID tag, which could track their progress through a palaeontologist’s quest.

Following its successful world premiere at Science Centre Singapore, DinoQuest made its first international stop at Guixi Ecological Park in Chengdu, China. There, the 1,000 square metres exhibition continued to engage visitors, blending science, creativity and innovation to create an educational STEM+ experience for visitors of all ages.
