Pinacothèque de Paris, the largest private art museum in Paris, arrived in Singapore and presented temporary exhibitions of classical and contemporary art seldom seen in Asia. Through the exploration of different time periods and themes rarely researched on, visitors were led on to rethink the classical realms of art history.
Visitors were able to learn about the origins of myth through various artefacts, paintings and decorative art. They also witnessed the political and social impact Cleopatra, the last active ruler of the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt, had in history, and explored the powerful image she portrayed of Egypt.
